There was a mod that made torpedo explosions a "little":haha: more spectacular. I can't remember who made it or its title for that matter. I know its not much to work with but any help would be appreciated.

Racerboy aka TheDarkWraith ( now ) made a SH4 Effects for SH3, but it includes a bunch of other stuff as well.

Might it be Urfish modstrike beta. As in RB mod it also adds other effects, but explosions are it's jewel in the crown :yep:

I think that might be it.
Whole reason behind this is I am at the point in the war where DGs are out of the question. Its just the blasted torpedos (pun intended) seem so lame and I had a mod before that added some flavor to it.... but the thumb drive with all my mod backups died.

How do you find these mods in the downloads section? my search doesn't show up anything relevant...

The search function is finicky at best. I rely on "partial photographic memory" :rotfl2:. Some days its just best to browse the d/l section and see what catches the eye.
ASN/G7 is in the gameplay subfolder page 1 or 2 and Urfish modstrike is not on subsim its in maiks archive

Yeah, I found it through some Google search on the Subsim forum in its original release thread...

Well, now that I have found it, I looked through the files and its basically an alternative to the RBs_Sh4_effects_for_SH3 mod (with some extra files). I am happy with RBs mod, but won't mind an improvement in the torpedo explosions. Can you help me with the files which I should pick from this mods archive to enhance my torpedo explosions. And whatever else you recommend over RBs mod.

I was lazy replaced RB since after I did a side by side modstrike seemed to have all the files that RB had and some more. One of my side installs has them both activated and there are no negative effects as far as I can tell. Did RB first modstrike second on that one.

Yeah, I know it should be fine to just activate this mod over RBs, but I would like to keep RBs mod but only override the torpedo damage effects. So any idea which files (most likely one of the .dat file I think) relate to the torpedo damage?
