It's not about for or against drugs it's about your own flesh and blood

Oh my...
Rumer’s condition has dramatically worsened and she is now in intensive care on morphine.Yeah, good call.
Take her off a 'soft' substance with next to no side-effects that helped her... and put her on MORPHINE instead.

:/\\!!

Why are so many countries (including my own) still making such a fuss of cannabis? It's ridiculous especially since it can be used to treat conditions!:/\\!!

Agreed, even in GT.

I hope everyone concerned, those for and those against the use of medical grade cannabis keep both eyes on the ball. This is about what is best for the little girl and her health/chances of surviving her terrible condition.

And taxed.

Because old farts run countries and old farts still live in old fart days when cannabis was considered a dangerous drug and alcohol simple evening entertainment.

I've been high and I've been drunk in my life and being high is safer than being sober. You just sit back and laugh and not one neuron is being used to think about doing something stupid and dangerous. Being drunk, well, let's not go there. Smart enough not to drive, not smart enough to not pillage a construction yard.

Ahh, right the issue at hand.
They take her off the drug that actually made her feel alive, put her on morphine that turned her in to a vegetable and then took her father always from her in her final days.
Somebody please shoot someone and that someone should be a politician.

I agree completely with this statement.

A very sad set of circumstances, made even worse by the fact the father is barred from seeing his child.

The cynical side of me noted this last line of the article

“This has the potential to be a real election issue.”

Playing politics with a sick child's health is the lowest, lowest form of humanity imaginable.

I'll try remembered it next time

My thread was not about drugs, it was about a desperate Father. As I mentioned in headline I had done the same.

I do have sympathies for the father and best wishes that his daughter gets well. If I were in the same position he's in, I may do the same thing.
The issue is that how well has the cannabis oil been tested and studied for effectiveness, for side effects, effective dosages, etc. Since it's apparently an illegal substance, how is it made? There is no quality control, no control on the manufacturing process, no control on hygiene during manufacturing.
Jimbuna, Betonov, and U-15, I agree with everyone of you.

And this is why I haven't jumped on the cannabis for everything bandwagon.
But we need to de-vilify it so someone can do some testing. Too many people showing good results to be just a hype.

The whole cannabis oil issue is overly complicated. Unfortunately, decisions are made by lawyers and not doctors in some cases.

First step is that we need to get Cannabis off of Schedule one. Even moving it to Schedule Two will be a huge improvement and will more accurately represent Cannabis.
