View Full Version : Terror attack on French satirical magazine

Two terrorists have assaulted the bureaus of French satirical magazine Charlie Hebdo, armed with rocket launchers and assault rifles they have killed 11 people so far.
I assume it either were two radical Buddhists protesting against the consummation of animal meat, or supporters of the Front National. Theories that the two attackers have links to the gay rights movement or the Free the Vatican now! grassroot movement so far have seen no supportive evidence.
Early rumours that it were two offended oriental supremacists executing their right for free religious practicing so far have not been confirmed. It is hoped that the whole story just shows up to be a mishap deriving from a multicultural misunderstanding.
One cannot rule out, however, that the attackers were mistaken and simply knocked on the wrong door.

Correction, three attackesr, not two. They are escaping by car.
The last tweet sent from the offices, shows a picture of IS leader Al Bagdadi, with a written message of "Best greetings". It is unclear whether it is a hack "or by random chance".

Four more victims are in critical condition. The French state has declared the highest level of terror alarm.
Damn those radical vegetarians. Not eating animals, but slaughtering cute innocent people. And in hell they even cannot be BBQed.

Eleven people are dead. Murdered.
Think I'll start a thread about it and be a total jerk about my political/religious opinions, which of course will be enlightening to the members of the forum.
Because they haven't read them before.
I'll try and squeeze in a few jokes as well.
Ugh.
Mods - delete this ****.
EDIT - Here's a link to the news story seeing as the thread starter didn't bother.

And you will soon be amongst those who once again will relativize the motivating effect of vegetarian ideology.
But you complain about me building early against that to be expected behavior.
I hit a nerve in you, and probably also some others. And that is what you are angry about.
And yes, I did it intentionally. But not mindlessly. Those "jokes" have a double bottom.

And considering the response one gets around here mentioning the 'M' word I really think Skybird is doing a great job keeping an open minded about this.

Leave the telepathy for another time. Telling me what I will or will not do is not a great way to make a point.
But you complain about me building early against that to be expected behavior.I have no idea what this means. I'm saying don't trivialise mass murder, don't be a jerk about this while it's still going on, and at least try to keep your personal well-worn hobbyhorse arguments where the rest of us won't have the displeasure of reading them.
The last request is optional, the first is basic decency. Up to you.
I hit a nerve in you, and probably also some others. And that is what you are angry about.Again Skybird, telling me how I'm feeling is a really bad way to get anywhere in a conversation.
I'm not angry, I'm not even disappointed. I'm not even surprised.

I'm not a telephat, I am an emnpirist. And past examples tell me something about your stand on certain things.

I'm saying don't trivialise mass murder, don't be a jerk about this while it's still going on, and at least try to keep your personal well-worn hobbyhorse arguments where the rest of us won't have the displeasure of reading them.I do not trivialise anything. I am just not following the usual hypocritical pathos of expressing how "terribly shocked" one is while at the same time relativising the motivating ideology of the barbars committing the crime, and declaring said ideology as harmless and precious - which is the usual reaction in the west to vegetarian terror strikes.
The last request is optional, the first is basic decency. Up to you.
God, atheist or not, may have mercy and save me forever from your hypocritical standards of decency that regarding vegetarianism you have displayed often enough to me.
Again Skybird, telling me how I'm feeling is a really bad way to get anywhere in a conversation.
I'm not angry, I'm not even disappointed. I'm not even surprised.Conversation...? That is a dialogue. We two just exchange insults. That si something different.
Just in: but so far unconfirmed: a 12th victim died of radical vegetarianism. Man, that diet really is not healthy.

Shouldn't be too difficult seeing as it's quite obvious to you.
I'm not a telephat, I am an emnpirist. And past examples tell me something about your stand on certain things.Go on then. Either back up this drivel or don't post it.
I'm taking issue with this thread, what you've posted today. If you're unable to defend it without reaching into my post history for accusations of hypocrisy just say so.

1 - Don't be a jerk.
2 - If you're going to be a jerk, do it better.
