Starting my first campaign (OHII + TDW UI +IRAI and a mod soup close to Berbster's). I stalk ORP Gryf and her escort off Help on Sep. 1, 1939. One torp from 8,000 mt and Gryf explodes. The escort continues on its course ramming (!) first a lifeboat, then the burning wreck itself, apparently without any damage.
Somewhat later I fire another fish at the destroyer (approx distance 7,500 mt). The enemy does the perfect evasion maneuver turning on a parallel course to the torpedo. Then she turns again, crossing the torpedo path and getting hit. Long story short: machine hit, ship ablaze and dead on the water, an easy target for the coup de grace.
The question is: is the unrealistically dumb behaviour of the DD the result of some bug in the AI, or was it just Bernhard at the helm?
