As Greenpeace were knocking themselves out logistically to emplace this thing, didn't the thought cross somebody's mind?-- "Hey. Let's just use Photoshop."

Myeah, it ended up looking fake, so no one would have known the difference. :O:

PS. Been meaning to ask for a while: Are you at JREF forums, or International Skeptics or whatever it's called now, as well?

I really wish they would stop doing things like that, it really doesn't help bring any good publicity to the cause. :nope: It's like PETA, sure treating animals ethically is a good thing...but you're pushing people away by being idiots! :/\\!!

Still, goes to show, all causes have their extremists, be it religion or ideology. :dead:

I think I missed something.

Then again, I plant trees, recycle, make compost out of kitchen waste and have a green thumb, I really cannot afford to be associated with this rabble

2. What is this a picture of?
3. Why are you upset about it?

A little information might be helpful.

As for Oba-: just a jab at the "meme" 'Thanks Obama', basically, trying to be funny.

The bird (AFAIK) is supposed to be 300m in length.. look at the scale of the humans in the pic ?
Take average human height = 2m... that would make the bird 200m in length ?

Those pics you've provided are not definite proof... :03:

So Peru, the BBC, Greenpeace and the worldwide media are in a giant conspiracy then? :hmmm:

Seems legit...

I bet Obama and the FEMA dentists are behind it, they usually are. :yep:

The problem is not the if the sign photo is shopped,

the problem is THIS !!!!!!!!
http://i.imgur.com/EyMwJaQ.jpg

damage done to a cultural heritage site, whether it was a sunday picnic or an eco protest, un-a-ccept-able.
They fell on the same level as the corporations that would destroy the site for a ton of copper

If they'd defiled a golf course lawn I'd give them a standing ovation.

We'll see how the court cases go :)
Betonov.. they say there are 'squatters' roaming these sites lately, so that damage might not be greenpeace at all, if they were there.

Squatters roam around a site without any actual plan, their routes are sporadic and guided by avoidance of others, they don't come in, make a rectangle and then exit the same way

If the original plan was for those patterns to be seen from space by visiting or returning aliens I bet now they see the the marks left by Green Peace changes the meaning from "greetings visitor" to "vaporize this rock".

You sure these collective mandatory exercises in correct-rightmindedness pay off as intended?

A waiter picks up the orders by four guests. The first orders a special meal that is healthy. The second points out he takes the price into account and does not want something expensive, he orders something economic. The third wants the typical meal that is typical for the local natives and has some regional flair. And the fourth wants that only vegetables gets used for his meal that were raise "bio" and had no long transportation ways.

And the waiter goes back to the kitchen and calls out the orders: "Four meals of the day!"

Then you should read some of Erich Von Däniken books

According to him there's no doubt whatsoever that those lines was runways for alien

I don't care rally. As I pointed out to you on many occasions I am not selfish and as long as I don't operate on a loss, I don't have a problem working for a zero sum, if others benefit from it.

I love planting trees. I love the smell of dirt and the feeling that in a few years time I'll have another fruit bearing tree in my backyard.

Composting is a must since I'm an avid gardener. And I garden because it relaxes me, because working with plants makes me forget all the human interactions of the day. I don't go for the self sustainability or the bio-grown fad. I like to reap fruits of a hobby that I have to soothe my nerves.

Recycling ?? Why not. It's a scam in this country, that I'll give in to you.
But it costs me nothing and I don't care if I don't gain anything from it.

You surprised me. I thought you'd have something to say why I'm butthurt about the damage done to the Nazca site, since I now what's your view on relics and anything that's valuable and historic
