Look here (http://www.subsim.com/radioroom/downloads.php?do=cat&id=10). Scroll down the page, you'll find d/l links for Omegu toward the bottom of the page. :salute:

Finally , thanks , however I eventually had to uninstall it due to the new TDC system in that mod. Thanks anyway

Au contraire, OMEGU includes Karamazovnew's KIUB mod including, which does indeed make changes to the TDC including changing all the labels to English, as well as several changes to the voice files.

Yes, OMEGU replaces the American TDC with the KiUB, and the change goes way beyond cosmetics. The KiUB is functionally a U-boat TRV. It lacks the Position Keeper section of the American TDC, and adds a lead angle calculator. All of this change is in OMEGU, which, despite its name, is much more than an environment mod.

To use the OMEGU package without KIUB remove

OMEGU_v300/Data/Menu/Karamazov (the whole folder)

and all lines from 921 [Dial74] to the end of the file in

OMEGU_v300/Data/Menu/cfg/Dials.cfg

If you want to use OMEGU_v300_Patch7 remove/change the corresponding folder/file in the Patch7 package.

The changes have to be made before activation of the mod(s).

Works a treat!

No it does not . It replaces the old german tdc (same as in shIII OR UBM stock) with a different one.

Thanks for the tips for getting rid of that KiUB , im digging the OM righ know , about to go on my third patrol :arrgh!: however there are some details that kind of suck , there seem no be no damage modeling when a torpedo hits except for eventual fires the ship hull remain the same son its a guess to find if it is actually sinking... The other thing is the recognicion manual images from different angles are gone ... And not to mention the lack of lifeboats after a wreck ...small details that add :/\\!!. I think this mod has a lot of potential does anyone know a work around this issues ... Somethimes I just feel to try Sh5 or go back to III

Cheers!

I have tried several times to do as you say , however when I launch the game when the loading bar is almost full , it freezes and if I minimize windows there is another smaller error window displaying "File not found : Data/menu/karamazov/top_parts.tga''

dont know what I'm doing wrong :both OMEGU and its patch have both karamazov folder erased and dial edited before activation ... :-?

Sorry Ivan,

I messed this one up and it took literally hours of trial and error to figure out what I had done to get rid of the Karamazov periscope interface (KIUB), but here is how to do it:

1) Install a fresh copy of SH4 (or deactivate all mods)

2) Activate the three basic mods for OM: OpsMonsun_V705, OMv705_to_V720, OMv720_Patch5

3) Copy these two files to a safe place:
SH4/Data/Menu/menu_1024_768
SH4/Data/Menu/cfg/Dials

4) Activate OMEGU: OMEGU_v300 and OMEGU_v300_Patch7

5) The two files listed in step 3 have been overwritten by the Generic Mod Enabler. Might be a good idea to backup them.

6) Replace the patched files with the copies you made in step 3.

7) Fire up SH4, start a new U-Boat career, go to the attack periscope: You should now have the basic interface.

Sorry again for causing any inconvenience. A copy of this post goes to the SH4/ATO subforum.
