A nice video examining the recent budget bill and explaining why it's all the Republicrats'/Demicans' fault. Congress knows no parties except the ones they throw for themselves.

Sorry I'm not going to subscribe to watch it Steve.

EDIT: My mistake it just starts at the end for some reason.

I don't know why it's doing that. I've relinked it twice and it still does it.

Here's the original link. You can read the transcript here.

Glad to see they are going to loosen the controls on what banks can do! It sure worked out so well last time everything went to heck in a hand basket! Just what the country needs, another financial crisis!:nope: Screw those clowns in D.C. But, what can we do, we are just along for the ride anyway, and we pay in more ways then one, to fix things again. Send them all to Iraq, and let IS have them!:haha:

If only someone had warned of the danger of parties in the State...

Sure it's filled with tons of pork projects as well. Our govt. has no shame on anything, like spoiled kids that stick their tongues out at naive parents....

If the government shut down, would anyone really notice?

A certain party and it's members have had it shut down for a number of years now.:-?

Well, there's the rub. We can joke about inaction, but that might be a good thing. When they do take action, as here, everyone suffers. Well, everyone but them.

Pretty sure this is the way it's been done for a very long time. The only thing that spoiled the video for me was the snarky quips which gave it all the sincerity of a commercial hawking some wonder device, and using actors being ridiculously clumsy without one.

When you read about something like this, makes me wonder why I vote anymore. Seems like a big waste of my time, nothing changes, just more crap on a new day!:nope:

There's a very good reason to why.

This video is worth watching as she describes the power Citigroup has in Washington. Man, is it scary!

Waste of time?

Anyone who has actually voted knows that national offices are only one part of a ballot. Of far greater importance and relevance to a voter are the local elections and ballot questions.

Because if you don't vote there is an absolutely zero percent chance you can work to fix the problem.

Our government is still by the people.. but only if the people care.

Anatomy Of The Deep State (http://billmoyers.com/2014/02/21/anatomy-of-the-deep-state/)

There is the visible government situated around the Mall in Washington, and then there is another, more shadowy, more indefinable government that is not explained in Civics 101 or observable to tourists at the White House or the Capitol. The former is traditional Washington partisan politics: the tip of the iceberg that a public watching C-SPAN sees daily and which is theoretically controllable via elections. The subsurface part of the iceberg I shall call the Deep State, which operates according to its own compass heading regardless of who is formally in power."

Deep State is a more formal moniker to describe the Shadow Government.

We The People are no longer in control and we haven't been for a very long time. Writing to an elected rep is like pissing into the wind. All you're going to get is wet, smelly and a form letter apologizing because the Senator or Congressman you wrote to will claim that he/she can not interfere with the bureaucracy on your behalf. Probably the reason why Gabriel Gifford got shot in the head.

The government is a monster and it will not obey...
