SH4 Speech and Windows 7

I have tried to use sh4speech on my windows 7 computer.
I can change the resolution and the window shows that the
voice commands are working. But somehow its not being
transferred to the game. I saw the thread that talked about
this but never really found an answer to the problem. Seems
it works find for some and not so much for others.
Is there a fix for this problem?

In case anyone cares:
I got it to work by shutting off "run as administrator".
I believe it actually works better than it did under XP.
