First order of business: Me and a few friends are headed up to Alaska this winter for our bi-annual survival games, this time out around the Prince William Sound, before headed up to Denali NP. Anyone who has seen Nat Geo's Ultimate Survival Alaska, that's how we do it.

If you're interested (or crazy), and have 3 weeks of free time, money for gear, and a team to race with, you would be welcome. These make for good stories. Rules are:

-Only can take what you can carry.
-96 hours to reach the exfil points after start.
-Each team has up to three members.
-Each team gets flares, transmitter, and radio.

There's more, but unless you're coming, they don't matter.

And before you ask, no, we have no regard for our safety.

Second order: Anyone live up there?

Finally back south! Souther California compared to Alaska in winter is like paradise. (Well, more so than usual). Had a great time in the snow and ice, even got a sideshow of a few wolves one evening. All in all, one helluva time.

What'd I miss while I was out?
