With 20 miles left in the race, Swedish athlete Mikael Lindnord was eating from a can of meatballs when he noticed a stray dog. Lindnord said he decided to throw one of the meatballs toward the dog.

They say that's how the original domestication began eons ago.
Only it was a bone :)

Excellent story, let's just hope Arthur is not in for a too much of a shock, Sweden can be cold :)
