trying to find convoys

sailers I am in oct of 39. im patrolling grid the grid just north of Ireland where all the convoy routes come together. I cannot find a convoy. Is it too early in the war right now for a lot of convoys or ?? :wah: I do have the grey wolves mod installed too

The convoy route you are currently sitting on didn't really start to get heavy traffic until after the fall of France in June 1940. Until then most trans-Atlantic convoys out of Liverpool still sailed south through the St. George's Channel and then around the southern tip of Ireland.

In the beginning stages of the war, 1939 - to June 1940, there's not lot of ships or convoys. It begins to pick up after Norway, Denmark and then Netherland, Belgium and France are occupied by the Germans.

In addition, how long have you been on station? Sometimes weeks can pass before a convoy comes through and you can still miss it. That's just the tedious nature of patrolling with only eyeballs and limited information from shore.

There is plenty traffic on the 15 of October 1939. (Can't tell what is a single or what is a convoy though)
