Anybody here play Out of the Park Baseball?

I just got the free release OOTP8...

I'm pretty overwhelmed. I figure there's somebody on here who can give me some pointers.

At first, I took a job as GM for the South Bend Minor League team...but....the Diamondbacks promoted/demoted all of my players and I was left with 6...didn't know what to do from there. So I started a new game and took the job with the Palm Beach Cardinals. (...great success...)

If anybody can help me get off the ground here...that'd be great.

I sorta kinda got the hang of it once I started playing games....but in a game like this...just playing the games is not enough to have a successful team. I'm sure there's more to it than that.
