While patrolling off Freetown (Grid square ET29) in U-124 I encountered a 4 ship mini convoy with 2 Yanks, a Tommy and an Irish ship (its 4/41). I sing the british ocean liner and sneak away. About 2 hrs later I recive a radio message,
"From U-124, ET5321 Un-escorted tanker sunk, 1,716 tons"
The real U-124 was operating in the grid square just to my south at the same time and sank a ship at around the same time.

That's cool. It's also better than getting a message saying your own sub has been lost. :dead:

:haha: That's a good one !
What is worse is, you get a radio message about your "sub" having a successful patrol and heading home and you are stuck where you don't even see your hand in front of your face due to the weather.:nope:

Wow. I have never noticed a message to or from my own u-boat that was not actually intended for me or sent by me. I thought somehow that eventuality had been programmed against. I did not know it was possible.

The radio log is full of actual reports and messages from the war. They have nothing to do with the game, but are intended to make the player feel as if there is a real war going on.
