First up yes I know the Daily Star and as halloween is just around the corner could be a gag or a slow news day. So anyone here into spooks like to inform us is it real or rubbish over to you.

I'm afraid I couldn't give this subject and these reports the proper measured scrutiny they deserve because I was unable to keep my eyes on the text for long enough owing to the endless parade of knockers, boobs and hooters (whatever you want to call them) on the opposite pages.

If this is your daily paper, how on earth do you manage to hold it still enough to read anything anyway?

PLEASE! this is a family forum and the misogynist
use of 'boobs and knockers' may be patently offensive to some members lurking from their cyber mancaves...the simple use of the commercially universally recognized term will suffice....:yeah:http://badsentinel.com/wp-content/uploads/2013/04/Hooters-Girls-4.jpg (http://badsentinel.com/2013/04/02/a-tribute-to-the-hot-women-of-hooters-34-photos/hooters-girls-4/#main):woot:

First time I heard of this black eyed people was a few years ago on an American radio show. This radio show is so to say big fan of conspiracy, so I knew its some kind of hoax.

This is our local "spook". Supposed to roam the lonely byways of East Anglia by night with glowing red eyes. Google it, it'll scare the crap.

Further reading reveals that there remain, visible to this day, terrible scorch-marks left behind on the door of a Suffolk church by Black Shuck. And outside, in the churchyard, visitors can also see what looks like a petrified demonic doo-doo, supposedly squeezed off by the hell-hound as it leaped over the low wall and disappeared into the night.

There are a lot of documentaries on the black animal of England.
The one I believe most is that of a black panther that escaped from an exotic zoo or personal collection

These widespread sightings often also turn out to be just large grumpy moggies, and people seem to see them everywhere, like UFOs...

I've seen the scorch-marks (it's on Blythburgh church) but not seen the petrified demonic doo-doo. :har:

Hi, Oberon,

I have to say I was mindful that this is in your neighbourhood. You found me out, though: I made up the bit about the fossilised doggie-doo.

I had no idea either that they'd dug this thing up and we are absolutely fascinated by this news as well.

Oberon

:haha: Thought the doggie-doo was a bit of a stretch. Honestly wouldn't have put it past someone to try it though to get some tourist income. :03:
Very interesting news about the dig though, I've shown it to me Mum, she reckons it could well have been a Mastiff guard dog, apparently they were used a fair bit back then to guard the rather full purses of the monks. :yep:

It's now far too late. Like the ever-present crop circles, even an admission by the perpetrators of the hoax is not enough to stop the word spreading. It is now on teh interwebz. The fantastic fossilised doggie-doo is now a fact, and all the claims to the contrary will never make it go away. Only the uncultured unbelievers will accept the government cover-up and deny the proven fact that the mysterious fossilised feces are real.

See what you've started? :O:

Just as each episode is a wonderful modern twist on an original Doyle story, every episode title is a variation of an original title. 'A Scandal in Bohemia' becomes 'A Scandal in Belgravia', 'A Study in Scarlet' to 'A Study in Pink', and so on. It's all part of the fun.

Another methane-based phenomenon perhaps, but I have inserted this as a serious element in this thread because we live very near the marshes here and, although I've never seen ignis or Jack o' Lantern myself, that could be because I'm not stupid enough to go wandering about out there after dark.

Mention of the "foo fighters" reminded me of the "Haunebu" or Nazi flying saucers, a subject I've always found intriguing. I first saw mention of these in an issue of "The Fortean Times" many years ago, where I believe they investigated unexplained circular concrete installations lost in the depths of what would have been German territory during WW2. These circular installations had what appeared to be grooves which might have housed powerful electrical conduits, suggestive of experimentation with electromagnetism.
