If you only have v1.4, you are limited as to the mods you can use. Most here have v1.5, and use a suite of the latest mods along with this.

If you like the game, I would strongly urge you to buy v1.5 (U-boat missions), preferably the 'Gold Edition', on disc. Most of the mods require this version, and it fixes a number of bugs.

In any case, you will want to get JSGME - JoneSoft Generic Mod Enabler, so you can easily install/uninstall mods in your game.

Someone who uses, or has used v1.4 can advise you as to what would be appropriate for you.

Welcome aboard, gg5356! :salute:

I also play version 1.4 with TMO(for 1.4) with SCAF for TMO and i am very pleased.
Try this for 1.4 compatible mega-mods:

The referenced thread is 5 years old. The links for the main downloads for both TMO and RFB are broken.

It is pretty easy to find TMO. RSRD, RFB and any other mod with the exception of the members only mods. A simple peek at the download page and search there will give you all the mods you need.

I would suggest updating the game to 1.5. Your going to get a better mod selection. I would also make sure you read the documentation very well. Not all mods will run with each other and some mods have patches and will require you to load the mods in certain order. Failure to do so will mean huge headaches for you running the game, corrupt saves and dysfunctional equipment.

When asking questions about mods not running well you should also list what mods your running in the order that they are running to better diagnose an issue.

When changing mods you should always start with a fresh game install to insure there is no corruption of files in switching back and forth between mods. You do not have to do this ... but it is a safer method to avoid corruption.

Or you could get the TMO for 1.4 at a much better place like SUBSIM.COM

http://www.subsim.com/radioroom/downloads.php?do=file&id=1101

It is not that hard to find.

I thought I deleted my 1.4 mods ....and I did, however I just discovered a backup folder containing various versions of many 1.4 mods including RSRD for Stock, RFB, & TM from 2007 & 2008.

It would be better to upgrade your game to SH4 v1.5 - SH4 Gold, because many improvements were made for the US Fleet boats, it is not just a U-Boat add-on.

But if you don't have the $20.00 for 1.5 or live in some far-off place like the Republic of Madagascar, find the old RSRD 1.4 thread and the version you're looking for and I may have it. I'll try to put together a list.

Happy Hunting!
