As the title says have problems trying to play a historical mission. It ctd just before it starts right after the loading screen.

BRF and New UI 7-4-2 is not compatible.

BRF is an old mod and it is quite likely that it may not be compatible with some of your other mods as well.

Really? Hmm just curious to why they not compatible when brf deals with how the ai ships sink and can be sunk by flooding where the ui is hud stuff. Thou most likely I am not seeing what would cause it. So any suggestions to a mod that could replace BRF? If any?

Not one to like having to sink the ships by draining their hp. But trying it without BRF installed to see if that did the trick.

P.S. Did not work still CTD. But seems those its only the single missions made by other users that ctd. The single missions that came with the game work fine as far as I can tell. NVM it ctd about halfway into the mission. Right about as some ships were going to be near. So next time when I have time going to be going through the mods one by one to find the problem. Adding the mods one at a time.

Also can someone answer me this I am sure it has been ask before. But what is up with the two bars on the ships after they are hit by a torpedo? I knw they are the health bars but what does they represent in game? I know one is hp but what is the other for?

Ah so that what he meant. Maybe he should have left the a off so it fits the mod brf better. Was wondering what mod barf was. Unfortuenly not putting the brf mod in It still causes ctd so their is another mod at fault as well. So trying to find the other mod causing trouble.

You could do with updating 7-4-2 to 7-5-0 so that you can use sjizzles's MarineQuadrat Charts for NewUi's v.0.00.2 mod map overlay on the Kriegsmarine grid map.

7-5-0 allows you to stretch sizzles mod over the grid 7-4-2- does not.

At present you cannot use the full grid map only the first two i.e AM95

I will come back later on with a different mod list order for you to try.

I think you also need Manos Scope Patch for your resolution!

No those mods are just fine. They both work and the game plays fine with them. Currently at the point of installing R.E.M to see if its the cause. Just been placing each mod in with the others till the problem and then leave it out and put the rest in to see if anymore problems happen then after that put that single mod in and see if it does it by itself.

Ok. Also found the TDW depth disturbance for sh5. Didn't see the thing to the side that list what thread it was in. So should it be put in last as well?
figures. Found the problem mod for historical missions. Seems can do historical missions with OH II v2.5 installed.

If in doubt put it last and see if, or, what it wants to overwrite.

Interesting. Did as you said and activate it last and it seems to want to overwrite the zones.cfg from the fx update but that did it normally but also the zone cfg for rsd.

It works thou can still ctd when overloaded with explosions I think. XP

The problem you can have if you have more than one mod that has to use the same file/s then you will get ctd's.

It is knowing what you can do and more importantly knowing what you cannot do that makes the difference.

This is why knowing the mod order is important.

When you look at Sobers mod list, Sjizzles, TWOS, then these are tried and tested.

Unfortunately when you do your own thing you can just end up getting frustrated with it all and getting know where.

I know from previous posts that Sub Exhaust can be a problem.

Well the game works again. With sub exhaust. But going to take it out regardless as I see no exhaust on the sub's anyways. Seems something in it not working right but not causing the ctd. The cause of the ctd was Tdw's inertia mod not wanting to work with oh II. Also same with tdw DC disturbance mod.

I have to admit I am not surprised as I have seen other posts a long time ago where the IRAI inertia was giving problems.

You have done well to isolate your problem quickly.

You often see people with large mod lists give up on SH5 because they get frustrated with ctd's and do not take the time or have the discipline to remove mods, test and then re-enable.

It is a good idea to see what other mod lists are being used.

Depending on your UI it would be worth looking at sobers, Sjizzle's and TWOS.

These are tried and tested mod lists and also the posts are worth subscribing to so you can follow any developments they happen.

Well with modding any game patience is what is required to truely enjoy the new experiences from the mods.
