Been a while since I've posted. I just bought SH5 from the uPlay store and installed Wolves of Steel and the patch by following the instructions. I got settled into the game and started playing and made it out of the port area. Problem is every time I try to increase time compression higher than 64 it ticks to 128 then immediately resets to 1 whether travel mode is on or off. Any idea why it's doing this? It's gonna take way too long to get anywhere for my tastes if I can't go above 64.

your sonar man is picking something up or your watch crew is. I had the same problem and figured out there was a boat that was there, they were friendly but they were in the vacinity

It's a setting in the file options viewer. Having a unit so and so close forces you to tc 1 if you're at 128 or above

My TC is 512x ? just installed WOS 1.02 and 1.02 Patch and didn't mess about with anything really.

I hope you don't mind, a Q? on WOS i just started last night and in the intro to war I only get to pick the Polish mission 1st Sept, don't mind that but I had TC on about x64 and 2 warship contacts were called out on the map, I did a quick measure and they were at least 14km away but they turned and were steaming towards my uboat ? Is that not a bit of a distance for them to catch onto my uboat. Not only that, still 5000-6000m out I popped my scope up for 20 secs if that at 2 merchants and ping ping ping not only small rounds but follwed by shells - I was badly damages at PS depth and they were like laser guided shots.

I don't know if its some high setting on the AI or not ? playing the game on normal setting.

One time I restarted kept my PS down when I was approaching the 2 merchants with the 2 polish warships 5-6,000m out, saved the game and when I resumed not doing anything with my PS the shells were blasting around my uboat and I was sunk again ...

It was uber stuff from the AI more so when I came out and resumed after the save .. is that a normal thing in WOS ?

I have this problem too, before I installed The Wolves of steel i manage to set it up so I could have 8192 times in time compression. Now I can't as soon I go to 128x it instantly switches to 1x there isn't any ships in the area. I can't go above 64x even with the settings The Wolves of Steel suggest that I have but I want much more than 512 that they are suggesting.
