A question for GWX experts.

I am patrolling the Indian Ocean out of Penang (an inhospitable port when compared with those back home) during early 1944 and my Type IXb has had a second 38mm twin anti-aircraft gun fitted. I have two Petty Officers qualified on these but whenever an aircraft attacks only one of the guns will fire even though both are manned - how can I bring both into use?

Did you man one of the guns at some point? IIRC if you do sometimes the AI crew won't fire. I may have that bass ackwards though.

No I am not quick enough to even attempt to man one of the guns against aircraft - this is definitely a job for a specialist!

I do sometime use the guns to fire at small ships - but I stay well clear when being attacked by aircraft!

You should manually man each flak gun for a brief moment, to make it fully active. No need to actually shoot at anything.

If you hit f1 you will get hotkeys to man secondary flaks, I don't remeber them.

Multiple AA Guns - getting your crew to use all:
[F4] F [F4] G [F4] T [F4]

[F4] = Bridge
I use a VIIC with 2 Flak mounts, and this works for me. This presumes that you have already done the usual WO settings for how to fire. In my case it is Middle Range, Bombers, Closing and Fire Free so as soon as I man them they are good to go. This is done as soon as I leave the dock!
