I have downloaded a megamod and need to edit the config file, I opened it in Word but my changes were not saved.
Has anyone any ideas as to what I should use or do.
Thanks in advance

I use notepad ++ for all that kind of editing. Its never failed me yet.

All mods on and activated (I think), but I still don't have any officers anywhere on my screen. I have started a new mission, got out of harbour after scratching a bit of paintwork and went back in as instructed.
When I look into SH folder they are all there (and extracted?)
Is it to do with TDW patch?
All I want is my mutinous officers :haha:

I think the folder structure of your mods are not correct. Or there is stuff in the MODS folder that does not belong there. That first mod name "data" is suspicious. That is usually the folder containing all the tweaked files inside folder with the mod's name.

The files and folders of mods should adhere to the following structure:

Silenthunter5\MODS\Modsname\data
Silenthunter5\MODS\Modsname\data\moddedfile_in_dat a.something
Silenthunter5\MODS\Modsname\data\folder_in_data
Silenthunter5\MODS\Modsname\file_that_ends_up_in_S H5-rootfolder.something

I have yet to mod my own SH5 game (not even installed) so I might be missing stuff that is neccessary but this should walk you through the TDW patch procedure.

Yeah looks like an incorrect mod installation.

@Scorpion;

When using JSGME to add mods you have to do it a specific way or it wont work.

You place your extracted mod file with its header folder in the MODS folder for JSGME, basically you need your "mod" in a named folder. It should be something like;

Copy - "Wolves of Steel" folder > paste to MODS folder > Open JSGME

When you open JSGME it should say on the left panel "Wolves of Steel"
