Bill Kerr dies aged 92

A long and mostly unsung film career starting in 1933. He played Flight Lieutenant H. B. Martin, D.S.O., D.F.C., A.F.C. (now Wing Commander) in The Dam Busters and starred in Gallipoli and also made an appearance in Dr Wo in the late '60's. Older Poms might remember him most for his work on Hancock's Half Hour in the '50's where he was a regular.

Sad to see this old trooper pass on. RIP Bill. Thanks for the memories.

I must admit, I didn't realise that he was still alive.

You can often still hear him in comedy on BBC's Radio 4 extra (probably available on-line for you Johnny Foreigners and Colonials).

I am one of those who can remember him in Hancock's Half Hour in the '50's

I must also admit that I thought he died years ago.
