Hello fellow SimKaleuns and Skippers!
I finally found a way into the forum. :)
The nick wasn't my choice. But I should have known - choose a nickname or one will be chosen for you - is true afterall. /edit I got the nick change so this is obsolete
A big thank you to DonL1978 in in the forum and History Nerd on YT who probably don't even know that they are responsible for this old gal's (re-)new(ed) interest in Subsims especially in SH5.
After I found my way here I discovered DonL1978's awesome german handbook which I read just for the fun of it and then I guess I just had to buy SH5.
Now, I'll make my way through the tutorials of modding and debugging the game and then learning how to handle the game properly. I doubt that the knowledge about the controls from my last subsim almost 20 years ago will be any help... though the tactics might - I hope at least.
Since my 12 year term with the much louder land based equivalent of a sub (a tank) in the army is over, I now have enough time to explore the North Sea and Atlantic and simply enjoy myself. :sunny:
