Man, I just saw that. One of my favorite actresses. :-?

In old age, she raged against what she saw as the mediocrity of contemporary Hollywood, as represented by everything from the career of Tom Cruise to the Twilight movies that her granddaughter dragged her to see. “She said it was the greatest vampire film ever made,” Bacall recalled. “After the film was over, I wanted to smack her across the head with my shoe.”

Wife just told me. Damn, I liked her.

Just a few weeks ago, I was surprised to find out she was still alive.

Love her movies, love the era. Then, women didn't have to show their arses like Miley, they could use their eyes, twist their hair with a finger....the art of allure.......

Shirley Temple, Paul Walker, Philip Seymour Hoffman, Harold Ramis, James Garner, Robin Williams, Lauren Bacall. Seems like it's been an intense year for Hollywood obits.

Yet somehow Kirk Douglas keeps on keeping on. The power of a dimpled chin.

One of the silver screen's most beautiful actresses IMHO. RIP.

Bogart called her "Steel with curves". As far as I know, the last of the real women in Hollywood from the studio era. Always thought she was an interesting, attractive woman, even in her later years...

RIP, Ms. Bacall. Give our regards to Bogey; I know he's up there whistling for you...

Lauren Bacall, A woman like that could ruin a man... if he were lucky.

She had a good long life, a wonderful and long career. Appeared to be a good person too. :yeah:
