It's always disturbing to discover that our policing agencies prefer brutes over brains.:hmmm:

And that they get a comparative slap on the hand when they break the laws they're supposed to uphold.

"Huntsman walked out of the courtroom with a big smile on his face following the hearing. He declined comment."

Really ? :hmmm:

I was being sarcastic.
And diplomatic.

Far too lenient a sentence.

Man - that's just pathetic... Cops "should" be held to a higher standard - meaning - his sentence should be worse than a civilian's for betraying the public trust...

Scott

Far too lenient a sentence.

Yeah, but on the other hand, he is 45 years old, felony conviction. All he probably knows is being a cop (19 years) with a felony conviction he can't get any job as a cop (nor should he) but also at 45 years old, what type of job could he get with a felony?

The rest of this jerk's life won't be fun at all. But best of all, he will be punished for the rest of his life but won't be supported by tax payer money.

So yeah, I would like to see this jerk in the slam for many years. He clearly violated the public's trust. But, he is hardly getting away with anything.

In my state, felons can't get any public assistance, not even Medicaid.

Not likely former law enforcement are always placed in protective custody a segregated section in each prison separate from normal population. Former prison gang members who "snitched" also go there as do child molesters. Any ex cop will not last long in a place where some folks that he or she surely sent to prison will be present.

The whole idea that former cops and child molesters get it in prison is an urban legend.Would it really make you feel that much better to know that some dude that raped women(who would be in normal population) where giving an ex cop hell when he(rapist) gives absolutely 0 craps about why he(the cop) was there or anyone whom he(the cop) might have wronged.

He probably wont even go to actual prison anyway.Typically in most cases time spent in jail is considered time served of course he most likely posted bail. He likely only be there for 6 months if that long before he can be paroled more than likely at a medium security prison. They let people that where sentenced to 10 years for armed robbery out on parole in most cases after 5 or 6 years or 1/2 of sentence length. This guy will likely on spend 6 months in actual confinement.

I bet he has a huge stash of cash and valuables hidden away some place as he surely has stolen things from suspects many times he just got caught this time because he did it to a regular citizen who loved one knew that he had money and valuables on him and he was not a suspect. Who is going to believe say a drug dealer if he where to claim that a cop stole his illegally gained money?

Tricking someone in doing something illegal, and then accusing him.

That's the way to go in Germany, when it comes to "Neo Nazis".
The latter seem all to belong to the german secret service. :hmmm:
Of course in good tradition to the big brother further west.
