Ahoy fellow submariners,
I just purchased SHIII again after playing it before many years ago. The reason for the re-purchase was due to remembering that it was a fun game to play, although I really didn't log many hours on it. I stumbled upon this fantastic site and explored the forums for what seemed like days and downloaded a ton of mods cause I do love the eye candy. It is truly amazing to see a "good" game turn into a "great" game due to the dedication of the community. I have GWX and SH Commander and wow! The game play difference just those two make is just unbelievable. I've had some problems getting a few other mods to work, but a majority of the ones I've downloaded have worked wonderfully and have really added a great sense of immersion that the vanilla game seemed to lack. I'm still new and learning the ropes, but all the advice on this site has really helped the learning curve (I play at about 65% realism for now). I look forward to being an active member in this community and hope to see you around the forums!
