I just finally returned to the game after about a 2 year absence, so i'm having to learn everything all over again little by little. Now upon continuing my campaign i finished one mission (NOT a patrol) goal & went back to port, clicked on "finish mission or whatever it says" got some upgrades, etc. Now here is where i am lost, i go & talk to the fleet admiral regarding a "NEW MISSION" (again not a patrol) & after watching the cut scene of the admiral telling me about the several missions available what do i do next to start the mission & get back on my u-boat??? Theres no "orange symbol lookin" things on the map just the "crosses" representing the mission areas, i click on the crosses representing the mission areas & all it does is highlights the perspective missions area to be scanned??? I'm stuck, help this u-boat ace return to the seas please!!!

What mission did you finish?

Are you playing with 'Stock/Vanilla' or 'Open Horizons?'

Did you do the 'Tutorial?'

The 'Stock' first mission takes you down the 'Kiel Canal.'

New 'Missions' are date sensitive.'

Did you see the 'Anchor Icon.'

Did you select 'End patrol.'

You cannot start a 'New Mission' until you reach or pass the start date.

Going back to the 'Flotilla Leader' before the start date will still show the current 'Mission.'

Open Horizons starts you in 'Memel' and you finish in 'Kiel.'

quote > orange symbol lookin" things

Are you referring to the icon with the sinking ship in it.

If yes.

Then you see 2 of them when 'Selecting a Mission.'

One is next to the 'Mission Name.'

The other one plots the position on the 'Nav Map.'
