Saw this last night, wow, I cannot believe how good this was as a drama, let alone a sci-fi popcorn flick. Oh, I am so glad I have lived long enough to see movies with effects as good as this merged with strong storytelling.

Saw the trailer a month or two ago and it looked fab! The previous one was also much better than I anticipated.

Only seen trailers here as well but do intend watching it.
Should I see the previous one before I see it? Or not required? :hmm2:
Interesting to see it doing so well, didn't quite expect that considering the "sequel of a prequel" nature of it, but it seems to be getting a 90% critic and 93% audience rating at rottentomatoes, even. Nice!

Without seeing Dawn I would say watch Rise first, it is the very beginning and an excellent film.
Jim maybe a matinée in York followed by some beers?

Well.
It doesn't have James Franco in it.
10/10

Better still....some beers, followed by a matinee, followed by more beers and a curry even :sunny:

Franco wasn't that bad in the first one though.

Your forum has a dedicated movie thread Neal...
Can a mod lock this? :O:
According to a nature program on chimps I saw years ago they have lots of sex with one another therefore I conclude how can they up rise against humans when clearly they are far too busy having it off. :har:

I think you (and they) missed the obvious.
Humans:
A) Lock chimps in cages and don't let them have sex.
B) Put them in zoos and make fun of them, and give them no privacy (even chimps like to keep their sex private).
C) Keep them as pets, and don't let them have sex.
D) Secretly make "documentaries" by filming chimp porn, and the "actors" don't even get paid.
AND YOU WONDER WHY THEY'RE RISING UP AGAINST US???!!! :stare: :x
Thanks for the laugh Steve. :har::up:
