Attacked in Thalia

I am not understanding this. It is 21 Sept 1940 and lying outside of Thalia harbour is my supply ship flying the German flag. I have been in a few weeks back for re-supply with no problems.

This time, two armed Spanish tug boats lying in harbour fire on me!!!! I have had to make a very quick exist leaving with approx 50% of my hull damaged. Went further up the coast to Bessel and everyone was as friendly as can be.

Anyone know what's up with the Spaniards in Thalia?

I don't think you have been a "few weeks" at Thalia. Turnaround time is supposed to be 24 hrs (which is realistic in real life, where neutrals would intern belligerent ships after 24-72 hours, but unrealistic given the repairs you get in the game).

But to the bigger question... the AI apparently thinks you shot and hit a Spanish ship either on your way in or way out, in the past 24 hours.

I could imagine, for example, a scenario where you accidentally hit a ship, then teleported to Thalia before the harbor boats saw you. They would be loaded for bear as you departed.

It happens. PITA though.

Sorry, I meant I called at Thalia for the first time to refit a few weeks back with no problem. Everyone was friendly - got fuel, torps etc. This time all hell breaks lose!!!!

I also didn't teleport in, I like to drive the sub in right up to the supply ship. The other strange thing I found was that coming away from Gibralter I had originally chased down two cargos supported by a armed fishing trawler. The two cargos all had lights on and all 3 were flying the French flag. So I let them be and turned for Thalia. I am damned if the cheeky little trawler when I am now well away from them does not open fire on me!!!!

My crew are getting the distinct feeling nobody loves them!!!:o:o
