CW (aka Morse Code) fans will be glad to know the annual Night of Nights event will be taking place starting at 0001 UTC on 13 July 2014 at KPH, the ex-RCA/Marconi coast station north of San Francisco, CA. Members of the public are invited to visit the station during the event.
The Liberty Ship SS Jeremiah O'Brien (San Francisco, CA) and the Victory Ship SS American Victory (Tampa, FL) are frequently on the air during this event, and you may hear other vessels or museum ships as well. U.S. Coast Guard stations are also scheduled to participate.
If you would like to have KPH send a commemorative message honoring a radio operator, Marine Radio Historical Society staff would be glad to send it during the event.
