List the games you want, what you're going to buy, and how broke you are :salute:

Skyrim
Hammerwatch
Day Z

I have played Skyrim on PS3 but traded it in a long time ago. Will be nice to have again.

Hammerwatch for it's online coop.

And, well, Day Z, 'nuff said.

If you have Steam and enjoy playing some Co-op online games, check out Hammerfall.

My buddy and I invested 2 hours into it, it reminds me of old school 2d rpg's and the online is pretty flawless.

Well worth $5.00!

Just picked up The Walking Dead first season for $6.49 and a friend gave me Guns of Icarus Online yesterday (I believe it's in the Steam Sale now. Yup, 75% off!). Both good games so far! I'm also hoping Spintires will have a sale at some point during the summer sale, but I'm going to buy it either way. Lifeless Planet is also something I'd like to check out. Other than that, I haven't really seen anything else!

I'm decently broke right now until my new job starts after the Fourth :D

I thought I'd resist, but at the end I ended up scoring myself State of Decay yesterday.

Very good game, it turns out :yep:

From my ~5 hours of experience with it so far, I can only recommend it - yeah, it's a zombie survival game, but it's a little different. I like the focus on building your base and trying to keep your group of survivors healthy, fed and happy (as happy as they can get in the situation anyway), and it's nice to see that done in a single-player persistent-world game where the only thing that respawns is the zombies (which carry no loot), and the only way to get what you need to live is to go out further and further into the game world. Good stuff

I got that for free with Games With Gold on Xbox Live.

Got a free game with an XBL free trial. I had quite a bit of fun with it too. I liked it.

I feel like I should post this somewhere relevant.

There's been recent updates to Fallout 1, 2 and Tactics.

The games now run optimized for newer systems! No funky colors!

Picked up the remaining DLC for Borderlands 2 that I didn't have. And Borderlands is a ton of fun with friends and pretty good by yourself too.

Went by Gamestop today and picked up a Steam Wallet card.

Fallout New Vegas Ultimate Edition was $6.79 so that was my first purchase.

Definitely going to get the HoI3 DLC but maybe there'll be a flash sale on it so it'll be cheaper.

Got to figure out what else is good. Payday 1 is $1.50 which isn't a bad deal at all.

Good choice with Ultimate Edition it will make modding easier which is what a Bethesda game is all about in the end.Even if you do not like a given NV DLC(all of which you of course have) many mods use resources from them.

I would recommend avoiding any ENBs for FONV unless you have a high end PC they'll over work your rig.I do on the other hand highly recommend modding FONV.

Just the guy I wanted to talk to. :03:

Was going to ask you what kind of mod recommendations you can give and helpful websites to go to.

I played through and beat the vanilla game on Xbox but PC games are completely different. Mods...all the DLC i never had, etc.

Picked up Spec Ops: The Line as well, was on my list for a while. The gameplay is just okay, everybody's played this kind of shooter before - but the writing/presentation/visual design is just brilliant. Not everybody's cup of tea because it's incredibly anti-war and very messed-up, but I have to give it huge props for having the cojones to do what it does with the characters and story, turning the feel-good heroics of the usual military shooter on their head and making you feel BAD. Like awfully, inexcusably, monstrously bad for what you do in that game. Very recommended, if you feel like playing through a modern, special-effects-laden Apocalypse Now, basically.

For FONV the Nexus is your best bet http://www.nexusmods.com/newvegas/?
You'll need an account to which is free(you do not need the pay premium)
you can either use Nexus Mod Manager of Fallout Mod Manager or add mods manually. You can add mods manually anytime but the managers allow you to adjust the load order of different mods which can effect game behavior when things are out of order.

I'd strongly recommend New Vegas Script Extender http://nvse.silverlock.org/ and fallout new vegas edit http://www.nexusmods.com/newvegas/mods/34703/?.
Script Extender is used by many mods and fnvedit is a multi use tool I use it mainly to check load order and to make merged patches.

This guy has videos that will tell you everything you need to know about modding FONV. http://www.youtube.com/user/GophersVids

One thing which is a must is back up your back up your data folder, back up your data folder, back up your data folder....notice that I typed that three times :know:. Save it some place on a zip drive if you want just have a back up it will make fixing a mistake much easier.I mean a fresh data folder right after the game is installed.Later once you add a mod or two and know they work you can back up that new data folder.

Couple of mods I like are Project Neveda,EVE,Neveda Skies.

Is there a general preference for either mod manager? I've spent some time browsing around the Nexus...I like some of what I see.

I'll check it out when the rain quits.

I like NMM because it works with several other titles and you d/l right from Nexus. Not sure if FMM is supported still by who made it still works though.
Protip any NMM or FMM file can also be extracted they are just compressed zip files.

I prefer to install manually of course and use a manager for ordering and archive invalidation which allows the mod to appear in game.

Alright then. I'll probably download NMM and look at mods tonight and tomorrow.

Niiiiicccccceee...

I think the only DLC I have is the Ruler Designer DLC. It was really cheap one day and I had like $1 in my steam wallet so I picked it up.

I think the best game I played was when I played as one of the little tiny Irish countries and I tried to take over the British Isles. It was fun until Norway invaded.
