Anyone play this? I suppose not a search found nothing. Neat game heavy duty utility off road in Russia.
Saw it on Steam and looked about tried the demo neat game.
The basic idea is that you drive different vehicles on large maps with differing terrain the game has a full day night cycle as well. Lots of Russian trucks URAL,MAZ others that I do not know the name off one is the truck used to pull the SCUD.
Anyway you can perform diffrent jobs like deliver lumber or simply drive around and you can try and drive anywhere depending on the terrain you may or may not succeed. You can select to have 4-wheel mulit-wheel and differentials on or off (these use more fuel of course). Kind off fun fording a river and then driving up a bank blazing your own road.:D
What is really neat is that you can actually move the shift column with the mouse or a pad neat little touch. You can also make use of winches when you get stuck hopefully you can get out it does not always work. The deatil level is very nice the suspension is articulated and so are some of the specialty trucks.
The game is fully mod friendly as well so there are already tons of off road type vehicles out there.I have not tried any yet.
Only real dings so far are no in cab view and I dont think it supports any wheels yet nether are game breakers for me the detail makes up for the lack of cab view.Camera can be a bit wonky but not terrible.
Anyway neat little game check out the demo.
couple of screens
PS the trucks have very cool looking diesel exhaust.I had to place the truck in park to take the photos so no use of the accelerator to cause the exhaust.
The damage was caused from rocks hitting the transfer case.I think you can cause damage if you drop into 4 wheel drive while moving as well not sure.
In Russia truck makes road!!

I LOOOOVE IT !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :D
First 2 hours of gameplay: got 300m from the base, drowned one UAZ, overturned 2 trucks and got myself stuck in mud out of range of any winching anchors.
Then closed the game and went offroading with my real life car. :)

That was were it lost me.
A driving simulator without dedicated wheel support, that is like playing Assetto Corsa with XBox controllers. Can be done, yes - but misses the idea completely.
The developers do the occasional Railsim stuff, they are good guys and I hope this does well, they deserve it. :yep:

I know with the brake off the truck would roll on down the hill while I took the screens. So far as I am aware there is no pause only for time not for live action so to speak.

I suppose so but it is still a fairly fun game certainly not purist though.
The only simulator I have seen that really felt real was an actual tractor trailer simulator I "drove" recently it felt just like the real thing right down to feeling the clutch grab I was surprised it felt just like driving a truck down the road which I do in real life everyday. Of course this machine cost several thousand and actually used a real cab, shift column and steering wheel.

This game needs a good chainsaw add-on :hmmm:
I'm too fond of going directly trough a forest, not much of a problem with an UAZ, but I just tried the same stunt with the rustbucket (B-class) and trailer :)
I'll just leave them where they are :)

Yeah, it looked easy at the start... Got the UAZ stuck in one place, Ural with garage trailer stuck at the mire road, Kraz is stuck with the Ural. :wah: :hmmm:
Only thing left is the Kamaz, and the one I have yet to unlock. And the E-7310 is out of fuel.
The Kamaz is a mud plow though from what I've experienced so far. :-?
Need to try and get a fuel truck to the E-7310, so I can drag the Ural to the garage to unlock it.

The trucks really need a side anchor points for the winch.
How am I supposed to put them back on wheels apart from dragging them for half a kilometer until a freak stone causes it to flip on the wheels again. :/\\!!

Yeah that would be nice. Another bug is the front mounted muffler for the Ural(what ever it is called in the game) it greatly increases the likelihood of taking damage up front.
Another over sight I noticed is logs if you use a crane to stick them in the mud to give vehicles something to get traction on they respawn.

Bought it too after becoming curious and hearing lots of good about it (also regarding future plans).
I like it, although right now there's not much to do and everything's a little iffy... like damage and fuel consumption seems a little extreme to me.
What I have learned after 30 minutes of testing?
In Russia, truck drives you!
I am looking forward to what may become of this title... and asap camera re-work...

Like objective-wise. Right now we have wood to transport. Well great... for like a few times, then it's boring.
Of course the problems caused by the environment will cause additional "side missions" like pulling yourself out of the mud and I guess in MP its even more fun. Still... if this is all there is, it would be a little shallow, don't you think?
Regarding the camera, it feels bonkers and I'd prefer a first person cockpit perspective (which is in the works) anyways.
The more sim, the better.

I do not think that the fuel consumption is that off really the typical tractor trailer in North America averages about 7~9 MPG under load at highway speeds.
I am fairly certain that a log truck would easily suck down the same amount or more under such conditions as seen in the game.
And those huge trucks the MAZ and the other 6 wheel drive I am guessing a 600HP or more engine that equals fuel guzzling machine even with modern technology it is very hard to have lots of power and fuel economy. Also some of it is for game balancing purposes considering the size of the maps. And the MAZ was designed in 63 when fuel reserves where not really a concern.
Edit: MAZ-543 has a 525 hp 38.9 liter diesel range of aprox 650KM http://www.military-today.com/trucks/maz_543.htm
MAZ-535 375hp engine or same engine as the 543 depending on when produced (535 is an older design) range ?
I hopw they add a few like the KZKT-7428 Rusich

Yeah on second thought I have no doubts anymore...
I hope they will update this game a lot. The potential is gigantic and it is so fun in multi player... if alt+tabbing would not lead to disconnects and lots of other stuff that needs fixing/polishing...
Fingers crossed...

Definitely going to buy this soon. Just looking at the trailer, I was thinking, 'Wow, this looks like one of the most advanced sims of proper vehicle dynamics!' That, and off-roading is always fun haha. The dynamic terrain is a freakin' awesome feature. Multiplayer seems like it would be fun, too! I foresee always pulling my buddy out of the muck :har:

And rightly so!
It is tremendous fun to just try to get from A to B and watch the tires fight the mud...and water. River crossings are jaw dropping, the physics are absolutely revolutionary.
If you google around a 'lil, you might find it in a game key store and save some bucks, just don't accidentally buy the (cheapest) Russian version.
MP is not really playable at the moment though. You can't save any progress, which is degrading the MP aspect of the game to nothing more than a "proof of concept" or tech demo to be honest. Anyways, I am confident that it will be developed/supported further.
You won't regret buying it though, I am quite sure about that from what you just wrote.

I have a lot of fun just coming up with different ways to achieve the log drops. You can even only collect fallen logs to get the quota by using the crane of course.
Once just for fun I took the Maz 535 and then the Kraz with a medium log trailer loaded it up and then pulled the 535 in front and hooked them together and pulled the Kraz and loaded trailer.
It went fairly well until the Kraz tipped over and I had to use the Ural with crane to pick up the logs again.

I regret buying this 'game'.
Now let me make one thing clear.
This product is nothing else but a tech demo, showing us cool new physics and "oh look the mud moves omg it looks so awesome when the truck crosses a river oh awesome" - but besides this, the product offers and delivers... nothing.
Nothing in the badly working multiplayer mode is synchronized.
You don't hear other players trucks
Don't see there lights
Don't see them creating FX like exhaust smoke or all the beautiful 'mud moving' effects.
Can't use any other controllers sufficiently except x360.
Can't remap controls.
Camera controls 'questionable'
...this list could be very long...
The goal of the game gets boring after you did it once and maybe even before that, makes you askyourself "wait, what am I doing here!?".
It hurts to see a product with a crapton of potential wasted by a developer who is not using his good amount of cash to get more people on board to work on it.
Either he should have dropped it after release or hired more people who know what they are doing - then the product could one day develop into a real game.
Now, don't go there (in that forum) and dare to say what I said above.
The fanboys are strong there and criticism is not allowed, you will earn the "you got what it said on the box" arguments (which is also not true, note the synchronization errors I mentioned). The same empty excuses fanboys made with, and we hopefully don't have to argue about that title anymore, Takedown: Red Sabre.
It is like going to a car dealer to buy a car and after rolling from the parking lot you crash into the next best obstacle because... no brakes.
You complain at the dealer "Why the hell does the car have no brakes?"
He then calmly tells you of with "Well, you got what it said on the advertisement. No one said it would have breaks".
Well short: Fundamental features and functions that make a game - are missing or incomplete or buggy - therefor I do not call Spintires (or trash like Red Sabre) 'games'.
Oh and... don't ever alt+tab while in multi-player, cause it will cause a disconnect shortly after.
Other than that? Cool tech demo, would love to see so much more of it!
€: I forgot the most important weakspot of this project: No multi-player saves. No. Multi-player. Saves.
What a joke! :stare:

More like advertising: brakes on the way, and then still waiting after a year.
Never played MP and not regretting buying this game, but you still made good points.
They promised a mod support and a campaign mode right after release. Still waiting...

Necroing this thread, buuuuahahahahaha.
Yeah, left this game alone for a few months after the great truck drowning on the river. Finished the river map finally today. And when I say finished I mean started from the begining as the save games are gone and the forum is full of grief against the devs for destroying saved games :shifty:
Still, had a ton of fun and still don't regret buying it.
But there's so little done development vise.
