To Transfer or Not To Transfer

I've been playing out of the base city Wilhelmshaven since the beginning. I never saw any point in transferring. Where would I end up transferring to? Is it worth transferring and, if so, at what point?

What is your current game date? After the fall of France you should be automatically transfered to one of the French Atlantic coast bases, making it a much shorter trip to...well, anywhere.

Yup. Get yourself to Lorient as quick as you can. And then get yourself to Bergen as quick as you can for the Type XXI. :)

Yeah, don't stick around the North Sea, get to France to pick out those lovely convoys or lone runners.
