Here's by latest added-to list as of today

Some of the last items look out of place, they only overwrite items they mod etc with no conflicts to others, these i will edit with notepad into a mep when i've adding more ;)

But this is 100% solid for me at high TC into any base (always a great test, especially kiel lol)

Hope that helps, also i'll try to add a bit about jsgme, may make things easier for you in the future ..............

The last mod in this list is to remove crud from the water, as i enabled it i check to see what it effects, in this case i think off top of my head it was a lone file in dynenv, this tells me two things ..........

1 : It's only effecting an item it's meant to
2 : Knowing the above i can leave it be at the end for now as it effects nothing it shouldn't, so i can keep rolling adding mods and tidy things up later on

From top to bottom of the mod list is a layer cake

eg : you add patch xxx as first mod
then main base mod as second
you will not get a patched main base mod

I checked NewUIs_TDC_7_4_2_ByTheDarkWraith and I don't see the kzs mod included, but there is so much maybe I overlooked it.

FX 0 0 2 2 has kzs in anyways

Also .................

The mod 'EUF_UBoat_FX_v0_0_3_ byTheBeast' contains the 3d deck spray + sobers 3d spray (this sprays up towards the con) and also random bubbles when underwater

I've just added 'EUF_UBoat_FX_v0_0_3_ byTheBeast' right after the last equip upgrade part, and so no need for the 3d deck spray

So now my mods have evolved slightly in the last few hours to ..........

I have modded some sounds too, but i haven't packed them for jsgme yet as they're still a wip

But above is solid high tc'ing into ports

Each time i squint through mod releases i seem to find another mod i lost and had forgot about hehe

Edit : you might notice i had the wrong res selected earlier for the damn scope roflmao, no wonder i couldn't hit the side of a barn :D

pps : found out firing a spread of 4 torps at a battleship heading on its way back to scapa, i hit a darn destroyer way ahead of it with 3 torps, bet in a million years i could never replicate that lmao

Now I have installed mods I go to start new campaign and while loading I get ctd, what have I done wrong, I did patch the fresh install of SH5.

Off the top of my head (bit fuzziheaded)

Uninstall game, use your way to check for game remnants and remove

Install game/patch to 1.2

I reboot after each (no idea if really needed, doubt it lol)

Install the generic patcher and sort to my liking/needs

Create a folder in sh5 directory called MODS (not with jsgme) sometimes do this before installing the g/patcher

Start vanilla career, do tutorial, get to kiel, listen/wait/then exit from bunker and game

Install mods/Install Options File Viewer, set to wants/needs

Check any menu/cfg's i might have to alter that require a career start

Load game, load bunker save

Start baltic operations knowing pain is coming my way lol

I can't rem if you have dvd or non steam dl

I keep my dvd version all copied to another hdd

Faster than waiting for dvd to install

If you have non steam dl ? so just the same

If you have the dvd copy all to a drive for future use

I also copy the whole installed sh5 to another hdd, comes in handy for oem items in a mod fubar lmao

Next report we wanna hear, dang this irai is tough i got zapped on baltic operations :yeah:

I do have DVD, but have been downloading from U-Play. I need to copy files from disk to PC, then will u-play recognize it? When I first got disk I put it in and U-Play automatically came up. I will let you know bud

I install from saved dvd folder on another hdd (as i say faster than dvd)

I have to use the EU patch 1.2 (also i keep on hdd)

I have seen guys have problems with uplay/ubisoft updating on auto, hence i manually patch with saved patch

If you can dl the patch for you (i have no idea which one so google)

Save it safe

Install sh5 and if you want german voices choose custom install, you will get a prompt for german voices along the way

Once game is in, patch with hopefully the patch you've now found

Once games patched it will want to update Uplay, either dl Uplay beforehand, or let Uplay auto update, i sometimes do either

That should be a solid patched game then

You can either follow berbsters howto (very good and full howto for sure)

Or wait til later and i sort ts

If i were you, i would go try the above you've just got time to lose and i think you'll get it this time, it should be fine with a manual patch install

At worst i'll be back later ;)

ps : in control panel/programmes add/remove etc whatever os you're using, post back with the Full Details of all dotnet/s and C++ runtimes installed (version numbers i'm after, sh5 don't like a certain C++runtime and gives problems, may as well stop that from the get-go if needbe)

Post Mortem carried out

The mod soup died of a corrupt download, may it rot in the recycle bin, err i mean R.I.P

Surgery was required using a voice link across the atlantic, yeah, this new fangled voice over wire headset stuff, fresh butchery i mean surgery began

It was touch and go from the start, one side of the atlantic couldn't see the surgeons hands on t'other side or wth he was up to :D

With blind faith he followed the commands and hoped for the best, questioned a few times, but it was just his nerves fraying :haha:

After sweating for hours adding/editing mods and cfg's it was the final countdown to a working freshly installed and tweaked game or the dreaded CTD

He started his game on the american side of the pond, i could hear the gulping and trembling in his voice (voice activation ehh lol) then the praying and mumbling the game spattered and spurted into life

Yes, he was loaded into the main options screen, with a quick prayer he opted for a new career

The tension was immense, would it or wouldn't it !

Well the darn thing fubared, Lol J/K

Worked a treat, completed the initial mission, and it was time for the limey to hit the hay, no doubt the yank still with time and daylight on his side carried on to the next mission

Thank gawd i chose key to talk, as it was fun hearing his freshly working game turn on him in the shape of two destroyers in the baltic operations :rotfl2:

Hahaha excellent commentary of the night which will now be known as "Death Of The CTD!"

Was a honor and pleasure and thanks for all your help, SH5 with mods done the right way is hands down awesome. I just cant thank you enough, even if our across Atlantic telegraphs were sometimes mumbled lol

I uninstall Uplay.

When the dvd has finished installing it brings up Uplay to let you install it.

After this installation.

Then update to v1.2

How is the Subflags? I have photoshop and I read where the templates are included... I would like to try that if it isn't to bad with my own flag made from photoshop for fun.

I think i edited the times ok for flags

Dunno whether right or wrong but i didn't alter the ai subs ?

I dl'ed some other flags, some for actual u-boats but no U-96 hehe

So get photoshopping flags :haha:

Anyways they're working, the flag noise gets a bit of getting used to lol

If you're any good at .dds i got another job for you :o

Will try ts later if anyone's on

Guess a quick read of that = having to compare what he did to make it fine in the older irai, no biggy i guess, can check soon hopefully

I used to have a bash with editing .dds and simple items, think i used adobe and ps, still got the discs somewhere i guess, my guess they'd be over 10-12yrs old lmao (wonder if i will get free updates :D )

A question, i guess it would cover gimp/ps/adobe etc etc .......

Gimp with .dds addon, am i correct in thinking the option like, Image/scale Image is all's that needed to shrink ? i just want to resize a dds, obviously i'll keep mipmaps etc as-is

Corel, dang just sprung to mind, what editing sw did they do, i had that too

Anyways, java required, then i'll see who's on ts
