Hi World_Devastator
Are you using a Patcher for the first time?
Is it replacing a previous Patcher?
If it is replacing a previous Patcher did you take a snapshot and then disable?
Previous Patchers have up to recently been enabled through TDW NewUI.
With the latest Patcher 164 this has become the first stand alone version.

Hi World_Devastator
The original CameraManager.act 21.04.2010 is 48.9kb or 50,088 bytes
This is replaced by the GFP 164 one of 73.0kb or 74,752 bytes
Did you make a copy of your original file?
Delete the new GFP
Copy back the original file
Get a fresh 164
Follow my Post #2 instructions
If this does not work send me a PM and we can try plan B

I was having a stroll back from shopping when I had a thought.
Did you make a path error and not send it to the Silent Hunter 5 Main Folder and it has gone somewhere else?
The file will got to any path you send it to, it will not know it is a mistake.
The error that you are looking at could this be the original default file and that would explain why it cannot read it?

I am going to C:Program Files/Ubisoft/Silent Hunter 5
I bought the game from amazon and then it made me download it from uplay, is the game not patched to 1.2 from uplay or do I manually need to do this? (Maybe the problem)
If not I dont know where to go next, like before I have used not only one but a few peoples "how to's" on here and i keep getting same error, I have re-installed the game and the patcher to no avail.
I really appreciate the help, this is really the only thing holding me up lol

I just saw your post to a different topic about patching to 1.2, as I take it then I havent patched the game so I need to go thru your procedure, would this be possibly the problem?
"You update the game after the Uplay installation and before you press the play button.
Go to the ‘Ubisoft Folder.’
Go to the ‘Silent Hunter 5 Folder.’
Go to the ‘Support Folder.’
Go to the ‘GameUpdater Folder’
Double click to run the ‘Gu’ ‘Application.’
This will update your installation to the current v1.2
This will show in the top right corner of your screen when you load the game.

You should not install in the program files.
Did you notice that the error message is looking for this installation.
C:\Ubisoft\Silent Hunter 5 < correct installation
C:\Program files\Ubisoft\Silent Hunter 5 < incorrect installation
When you sort that out then you can patch the game to v1.2
Go to the ‘Ubisoft Folder.’
Go to the ‘Silent Hunter 5 Folder.’
Go to the ‘Support Folder.’
Go to the ‘GameUpdater Folder’
Double click to run the ‘Gu’ ‘Application.’
This will update your installation to the current v1.2
This will show in the top right corner of your screen when you load the game.
This is the default installation C:\Ubisoft\Silent Hunter 5 it then automatically also installs in your x86 program folder and also in your documents folder.

Just to clarify for you.
If you have not patched the game to v1.2
GFP has to be patched to v1.2 to work.
