TDC 7.4.2 will not load - help please

Generic Mod Enabler - v2.6.0.157
[C:\Ubisoft\Silent Hunter 5\MODS]

No matter what I try I just cannot get TheDarkWraith mod to load. Once the game starts up after going through its initial loading stages before the bunker screen it keeps switching back to Uplay.

It is not a Steam copy.
It is a DL copy from Gamersgate
The game is patched to V1.2.0
There are no other mods
The mod file does have the data file in it.
The change to "Developing" has been changed to "True" as per The BERBSTER sticky on 'how to..'

The Generic Mod Enabler is working properly as it has no problem activating/deactivating another mod like UI-Boat V5.02

I have read through numerous posts and watched a number of vidoes but cannot pick up where I am going wrong.

My computer specs are:
Windows XP Pro pack; 2.93 gig Intel Core2 Duo; 2044 Megabytes; Nvidia GTX 550 Ti; Creative SB X-FI sound card.

Anyone got any ideas as to why? Really would appreciate your help.

I've had ctd problems when enabling them outside of the bunker. You have to be off the sub when you enable most mods.

Go to your Mods Folder and open the mod and see if you can see the 'Data Folder' and 11 applications.

If you can then all is ok.

If you cannot, then the mod is in the folder you are looking at.

Yes, the mods folder as per pic below has everything needed. I have even deleted ALL my saved games in case that was the problem. Tried Uplay 'offline' and then 'online'. Still kicks back to Uplay after 'Silenthunter5' red bar has loaded and screen goes blank as it should do to synchronise games as it does do in vanilla and then the game itself loads.

But as I say, every tine after the red bar has run its course and it goes to sync it kicks out. So that would mean to me the mod is enabled as something must be kicking it out. If a disable the mod it goes through the entire process as it should.

Could it be my sound card?

Seems like your having a frustrating time.

If it is to do with sound you will not hear anything so that is easy to check out.

Did you say it loads 'Stock/vanilla' ok?

What mods are you using

In “JSGME”

Go to “Tasks”

Go to “Export activated mod lists to”

Click on “Clipboard”

Paste to the Post.

Yes it plays stock/vanilla no problem at all. It also plays the UI-Boat mod without any problems at all.

But the moment the TDW mod is enabled as the only mod (so there can be no clashes with any other mod) - it simply refuses to load the final stages of the game screen and as I say kicks out back to Uplay.

When I get back home I think I might try and load a mod that includes the TDW mod - such as 'The Wolves of Steel' and see if I can get around the problem that way.

The Wolves Of Steel is not without its faults if you look at the thread.

Another option is to replace 7-4-2 with 7-5-0.

Did you check the mod to see that you had all 11 applications as well as the data folder showing?

Have you tried a fresh 7-4-2- download?
