I can see that now. I think I will get my 20 years in and retire. Right now im a CDR (commander) and I plan on going higher. I don't know what Ill do but all I know is that you guys at Subsim and those in the Navy are like family to me. All these welcomes mean so much to me. Thank You

Congratulations! When you said 12 years I counted in fours and assumed you were enlisted. After that much time I still would have suggested staying in, but since you're an officer, and one with seniority, I would certainly see how high I could go. Whichever you decide, best of luck to you. :sunny:

Surprisingly I am up for promotion soon, if I want to continue my career in the navy. I can get promoted to Captain with a salary of $90,000/yr I already make 86k+ benefits a year

You will be hard pressed to find that kind of money in the private sector these days. If there's a slot open, I'd go for Captain.
Are you surface warfare or submarine?

Curious as to why you would tell everyone your details... especially on the net :hmmm:
