Hi guys
I thought it would be useful to have a list of mods that can be used on low end computers and laptops.
This seems to be a bit of a vague area as to what mods to keep away from that take up valuable resources.
if you would post your mod recommendations or mod lists to this post I will include it in my Tutorial Post.

SH5 should not be played on low end PC's as the game cannot be properly enjoyed with graphics stuttering, and poor overall performance.
And your ALL CAPS thread titles again? I though someone told you about that before.:06:

It looks like an attention seeking, or shouting, and it's an eyesore.
I don't like being shouted at.

The fact is whether it is right or wrong there are those playing on laptops and computers with lower specs.
I am not here judge, but here to help.
In my view they deserve the same level of attention as anyone else.
Many of today’s mods are not suitable as they are heavy on resources, but there are mods that can be used and may well give a level of immersion that is satisfactory to the end user.
I am just asking anyone on the 'Forum' who knows a mod that can be used and I will compile a list.
Apologies for attention seeking to my thread, unfortunately it got the wrong type of attention.
I promise to mend my ways, point taken.

only mods I could think of would be things like Smaller flags on warships (http://www.subsim.com/radioroom/downloads.php?do=file&id=3478) or Fistfull of emblems (http://www.subsim.com/radioroom/showthread.php?t=164789&highlight=fist+full+of+emblems). Something that replaces just files, but doesn't add scripting like NewUI (http://www.subsim.com/radioroom/showthread.php?t=166093&highlight=%5Brel%5D+NewUI)'s because the scripting is going to add more resources. Albeit not much, but on a low-end computer trying to push a resource hungry program, it is going to matter when you have X number of scripts running at the same time.
Just my $.02 :03:

Thanks for your reply.
All useful info.
Regarding what you were saying about NewUi and resources I wonder if some of the older interfaces are being used?
Sober's mods seem to get mentioned regarding being heavy on resources.
That maybe the reason for this mod.
Sobers Reduced File Sizes SH5 V2
