Downgrade sub?

I've been working on a Mediterranean campaign and thought I'd transfer to the 30th flotilla in October 1942. I was looking forward to the change to a Type II and all the changes in tactics that brings rather than the "standard" VII and IX boats.

When I arrived in Constanta, I can't downgrade my VIIC to a II. I get a message telling me I can't do it. That would make sense, since you wouldn't usually want to do that, but in this case I want to!

Is there a way that you can choose whatever new boat you want without it have to be a better one?

Seems like BdU thinks you are too good a kaleun to "waste" you on minor boat. My advice? Wait till retirement time and ask to be placed in one of that school for wannabes, your experience will be appreciated and, at last, they will put you on a dugout canoe :haha:
