For the better part of the evening, I have been trying to recall the name of a naval game I had played when I was younger. After wracking my brain and Google, I figured I'd see if anybody here knew what it was.
The gist is that it was a multiplayer naval combat game. You could command different types of ships, both sub and surface and I believe you bought those ships with points earned during play. Initially you started out in a freighter/tanker and had to sail to a specified point on the map to earn the points and move into something better. You could pay or play for free, although without payment your progress wasn't saved.
Anybody have the slightest clue what this thing was called?
Also, huzzah. This has resulted in breaking seven years of lurking.
