View Full Version : After nvidia driver update: no AA possible anymore without losing effects
Hello,
I updated my nvidia drivers a few days ago and just noticed that on any AA setting (even 2x MS) the sun effect ans others vanish. I know this had been an issue with nvidia cards before and the maximum you could use was 4x MS and 2xSS.
but now it happens even on the lowest possible AA setting.
anyone knows a fix for this? thx ;)

- Use the older driver, if the new isnīt nessecary for other games.
- Build a virtuell maschine and use SH3 inside it (if your rig is powerful enough)
- Try different settings in the new driver (only make one change and test then)
- Buy an AMD graphikcard :woot:

If everything is working well with your present video driver, it is best not to update.

Hmm, yes, but it wasnt in other games, so I had to. ;)

Yes, there's the rub:/\\!!
Solved: for some reason the gamma correction setting from nvidia control panel was set to on after the update and the "off" setting in nvidia inspector did not apply.
after change, halos are back.
Small tip: I use 4xS forced AA and 4x Sparse Grid SS on transparency. It works fine and together with
"0x20000000 (Need for Speed: ProStreet, Fallout - New Vegas, Sins of a Solar Empire, Command and Conquer 3: Tiberium Wars, Command and Conquer 3: Kane's Wrath, Command and Conquer: Red Alert 3, Most EA Strategy Games)"
set in compatibility, it probably gives the best AA possible in Sh3 with nvidia cards.
