Is Living Silent Hunter 3 v6 out yet, if not, is it coming soon! Just bought SH3 and am wondering whether to wait for this, or to start with Living Silent Hunter 3 v5.1
Hi Metalogic
tnx for your rightful question!
nope, LSH3 Edition 2015 is still not out yet - but we working hard to finish all these weeks!
plz, read actualy LSH3-History/News here: http://lsh3.com/v5/index_en.html
The Supermod (files) is finish since January, but we need ALL Manuals (in german and english) for seriously release worldwide. right now we work this out.
anyway - to Install LSH3 V5.1 never is a wrong idea.
i release Edition 2015 soon as possible here! :salute:

Great, thanks for all the information! If I start a game using LSH3 5.1m will I be able to upgrade to LSH3 6 without ruining my save game? Thanks

Almost any file being different between both versions can ruin your save games. So it isn't a good idea to upgrade.
But you can easily have both versions installed at the same time.
Hi Metalogic
Like Danasan say.
For "LSH3 Edition 2010" - or comming LSH3 "Edition 2015" - u will need a brand new SH3-Stock Installation anyway. Read the Manual to Install SH3-Stock first (http://lsh3.com/dl/v5/LSH3_V5.1_Installation_EN.pdf)
(Danke Danasan für Dein Support hier, ich freue mich sehr das Du da bist! :) )

Okay, that should be fine, as I'm still awaiting delivery of my SH3 disk to arrive (is patch 1.4b, no Starforce)!
BTW do the tutorials still work okay with the Living SH3 mod installed, as I will need to do these!

They do work in all the SuperMODS that are out there. But they look much prettier than in Stock version.
I won't touch Stock again after all these years :yep:

Excellent! I may never play stock (or maybe I should just once, to see the difference?)!

Well, you can have up to (n) different installations at the same time, where (n) is limited only by the size of your harddrive.
I usually have 5 installations, where one is my own home-brewed modsoup. That one deals only (!) with the sinking of KM Bismarck or what if...
Stock is good for getting a first impression. So whatever floats your boat...
As a suggestion: After installing Stock (leave it untouched for the moment), FIRST copy the whole folder and put it elsewhere (leave that one untouched, as a backup for the future! But you can .zip it). You will never need the disc again.

Good idea - in fact I will have to do this anyway, as my only (external) optical drive doesn't work with my main gaming laptop, so will have to install the game on a different machine initially, then transfer it across on a USB key or something like that
