HMS Alliance will soon be open again to the public....never been but hope to some time this year.

A restored World War Two-era submarine will open later as part of an £11m Royal Navy project charting the force's history over the past 100 years.

The £7m restoration of HMS Alliance, moored outside the Submarine Museum in Gosport, Hampshire, has been part funded by the Heritage Lottery Fund.

Looks nice.

Is the only sub in the North of England the one in that is cut in sections in Liverpool? I keep meaning to visit it whenever I am in the UK but not got round to it yet. Gosporth is a little bit too far for me when I'm only on a short visit to the UK.

Yes, as far as I am aware Liverpool is the northernmost example.
