GWX3.0 Install Issue

Hello guys.

I recently bought new desktop, so I decided to re-install my old favorite game, Silent Hunter III with GWX3.0.

And guess what? GWX3.0 won't install!


Yes. I tried on clean version of SH3, and cleaned my registry each time when I tried to install. I restarted my computer several times. But nothing happened.



I am keep getting error message saying:

Setup was unable to create the directory " C:\Steam\SteamApps\common\Silent Hunter 3\data\MultiMissions\German\MP6- Vor Labradors K?te".

Error 123: The filename, directory name or volume label syntax is incorrect.


I am using Windows 7 64 bits, and I had same problem on my laptop before.
It was so funny that I had no problem on my previous desktop. I was never able to fix this. Those anybody know why GWX.exe can't install the mod properly?

System restore point - change language - try to GWX again - change mission name/folder/MIS data accordingly (LabradorsKueste) - change back language to current one

I am bit busy due to my RL business, however I will try what Mittelwaechter said as soon as I got some free time.

I will let you guys know if that worked or not.
