Death Save?

Is there a way to have a final save of your career once you gone to Davey Jones locker?

I remember long ago in F15 Strike Eagle II, when you died in your career, your career slot became an obit/record. How you died, awards, final rank and all that jazz...

Until you cleared it to make another pilot (I think you had a max of 6 or 8 slots IIRC)

I don't think so. I believe it's always once you die the only thing you can do is either reload from the last save or start a new campaign.
