help guys, had a computer problem lost operating system, back up and running again but lost my voices in SH111 all other sounds working but very silent crew.????? anyone have this problem.:timeout::timeout:

So did you do a complete reinstall of the OS? You may have to do the same for the game to be on the safe side :yep:

Yes did a complete reinstall of O/S, but did not reinstall SH111, the game works fine all the sounds are ok except the voices (my crew won't talk to me).

Strange one. Not sure of saving your career, then reinstalling SH3 and restoring the old saves will fix it. It might.

Your sound drivers were not affected by the OS reinstall? Any other sounds affected on your system?

yes had a problem with audio bus, but i've resolved that, i just hoped that would fix it but it hasn't i really did not want to reinstall SH111 because everything else is working ok.

In SH3, go to OPTIONS - SOUND SETTINGS - SPEECH and adjust the volume knob.

Maybe not related to your case, but when I installed the Nvidia graphics drivers for the GPU on my laptop, it also installs some audio chipset drivers by default. Which in my case doesn't match what's on my system (I have Realtek chips), but still made it malfunction. So I had to uncheck that that builtin audiodriver option when I installed the recent Nvidia GPU drivers, to prevent the mess-up. Something you might wanna look into.

[EDIT] Nevermind, all other sound worked ok... Carry on. Must be that volume button Raptor talks about.

yes the volume was the first thing i checked, i allways turn all the volume buttons to max being old and a bit deaf allthough she who must be obeyed says my hearing is selective.
