modern armor mmo from obsidian. looks like world of tanks on the frostbite engine. man, if only they'd make it realistic. in any case, i'm jacking their models for steel armor by graviteam. look at their t-64. good god that's amazing: http://bi.gazeta.pl/im/26/d9/ee/z15653158V,Armored-Warfare.jpg but of course gameplay's going to be this ****: http://polygamia.pl/Polygamia/51,107162,15653050.html?i=20 and third person arcade: http://polygamia.pl/Polygamia/51,107162,15653050.html?i=15

You want realistic modern tanks?
Go get Steel Beasts Pro PE.
Yes, yes, so expensive... but not really on a closer look since it is no one-year fly like all the other games.

Just be sure to have a strong machine, the performance is, frankly, very crappy for what you get graphic-wise...

i don't even mind the price. the visuals are just crap. the only good looking realistic tank game is steel armor, but it doesn't have modern tanks such as t-72 or t-80, only up to t-62

I agree, I also do not like the graphic... but SB Pro will give you things no other tank sim can give you. It is the king of the hill, definitely.

You can get a 1-month license to check it out. If you also find a nice group in your time zone to play with, you won't regret it. Some people even enjoy it alone on their own...like Skybird... but he is the worst SB Pro fanboi to ever roam this planet, so... yeah. :haha:

Looks mean little if the mere physics of viewing are not up to the task. You wanted realism - here it is. If you define realism by looks only, then indeed you better avoid this one.

But the other ones all will have miss you your realism goal by a mile, or two. :), not to mention the tactical depth.

Well, thanks to this thread, I found out that SBP now has that monthly subscription dealie. Awesome! I will have to give that a go when I have a month free :)

There is a tanksim forum here. ;) You could have known about that detail earlier! I'm currently taking a longer break from SBP, after so many years, I am an AC junky right now, but if you have questions once you got it, let me know.

Thanks :D

SBP has always been on my radar. I just haven't had the time. It's funny actually - I don't know how some people complain about not having enough games to play. I have way too many, more than I can keep up with - even if no new games were ever released after today, I'd still have more sims than I could play out in a lifetime!

So....like....two days? :O:

I got offered a while back to try it by somebody who had an extra license....but you need the dongle thing.

Still on the radar though...just like CCIP (who, i'm surprised. You have time to post things! :) )
