A big thank you, to you all, for your birthday wishes.

It's an ordinary day, so it want be so much celebrating today. Got 1 present from my little sister and some from my niece.

I got what I wished for- a Oven tray.

From my Niece I got some home made stuff she had made in school

I long for practical things, rather than novelty items (mugs - mother-in-law), or clothing that doesn't fit. An oven tray sounds great to me, as does home-made things from kids.

Enjoy your normal day in a way you don't normally. :woot:

Sounds very cool....I know I used to treasure the bar of chocolate I'd receive from my kids when they were younger.

A gift is always special, but things from your own kids or close relative is very special and they give it from their heart even when they make things at school or at home.

Thank you. It was an ordinary day therefor no celebrating, saving it to a weekend. Not this one but the next.

I'm thinking of experimenting in my cake I'm going to bake

This is what I need

puff Pastry (must be large enough for a baking sheet)
A variety of canned fruits(They must of course be dry before placing them on the puff pastry)

pastry cream
cream or whipped cream(Cream foam shall be mixed with pastry cream in relation 1 to 4 1 part cream and 4 parts pastry cream)

3-400 gr strawberries
2 teaspoons vanilla
200 g white chocolate(has to be cold)

procedures:

put strawberries in a bowl and add 2 tsp vanilla
Moser them with a mixer. Place the bowl in the fridge

open the various canned fruit and let them drain

roll out the puff pastry on a baking sheet

lubricates the strawberries in a thin layer on the puff pastry

cut fruit into small cubes, if needed, and put them mixed on top

whipping pastry cream and whipped cream. mix the cream together with pastry cream. mix these carefully together and pour it into a pastry bag

spun the mixture over the fruit, so there will be small squares.

bake at 175 degrees for about 20 minutes

While the cake is baked, tear the white chocolate on a grater. When the cake is done, take it out and let it rest for about 5 minutes. Then sprinkle it with the grated white chocolate over the cake and let it rest for a further 5 minutes. Cut into small pieces and served with cream.

this is the cake I'm thinking of baking.
