I remember the first time I watched one of the specials on the BoB's discs and they showed Bill on crutches at one of the old battle sites. That is if I'm remembering it right. One thing that my memory will never forget though, is how that old guy missing one leg still looked tough enough to whip my ass if he felt the need. I just finished "The Winds of War" mini-series and was going to start on "War & Remembrance" but it's been awhile since I watched BoB's so I'll start on it tonight.
