Hi everyone,

I currently run a Palit GT 630 on a pretty bog average 350W PSU. The computer case is of a smaller more compact profile, so hunting for a suitable higher power PSU isn't really something that excites me and also, given that I have a fairly busy life with three kids under 5 years of age, two horses and a fairly demanding missus' I just don't have the time to put a new one in.

I've done a little research into alternative cards to the GT 630 that will give me a performance increase, but still usable on the 350W PSU - and I haven't come up with much that will give me a justifiable increase.

Money is also a consideration in regards to not upgrading the GPU and looking for a fairly budget GPU comparative to the GT 630 that will give me an increase.

Finally, the GT 630 runs SH4 fantastically, which is basically the main game I play - so again its not a do or die upgrade requirement.

However, given all of those considerations, before I completely put this upgrade aside - I thought I would come to the forum and ask any of our resident GPU experts if there is anything out there that will satisfy the 350W PSU requirement and be a significant upgrade over the GT 630?

Thanks for your help kind people!

A gt 750 or gt 750 Ti would run on that sort of a PSU which should be a significant increase in performance, on AMD side a R7 250 is also an option but in all honesty you would be better off getting a decent 500w PSU, a good unit is not expensive and would open up pretty much any card on the market as a viable upgrade, some dual GPU units excluded.

Cheers - that's actually a really excellent card you have suggested there over what I have.

Interesting it actually has a much less wattage requirement over the less powerful GT 630...
