Hello I'm new to the forum and sub games in general. I've installed the GWX mod on my copy of SH3 and it runs really well. I initially thought there were problems with reknown and the colours of the icons but I suppose that's what I get for destroying neutral ships before the war has even started, ( arcade games ). I do prefer more challenging and informative games, this mod has certainly given me a challenge. Any advice is welcome and thanks for inviting me.

Advice: Be patient. Sub men spend long hours hunting.

Enjoy the view, add some music to your gramaphone folder. You can use .mp3 files. The mods section has music of the period or use your own.

When bored in transit, learn about your sub. How long does it take to dive? How long to recharge batteries? How long to discharge them to, say 3/4 charge, at various speeds? How long to fatigue the crew? To regain?

I usually spend the first half hour enjoying the view. Then I speed up the TC a bit to get to an area I think will have targets. Then back to 1X to enjoy the hunt. If nothing I then speed up again for a bit just before saving for the day.
