Hello guys,
I never know if I'm at the right meeting when I post on a forum of any kind, so, don't yell at me if I've got it wrong - I just want to say hello and it's nice to meet you.
I have always been interested in the sea and throughout most of my employment my work was either in the nautical field or closely related to it. Retired now, coming on 73 years old, I have taken a keen interest in the Silent Hunter title and The Subsim site is marvellous for finding out how it's done. There are a host of very clever people on Subsim and I pay tribute to you all here. I feel privileged to be among you. When I got Silent Hunter 5, I was so lost with the game I had all but abandoned any attempts to run it. Then I stumbled across Subsim and my whole experience of the game has been enriched, such is the amount of knowledge among you and the community. Thank you, guys, for this wonderful resource you have all spent so much time and effort to build up.
Cheers for now,
Take care, all of you.
